Graeme was born and bred in Napier and became a Christian at the age of 18. Three years later God called him to serve in foreign missions so he travelled to Sydney for 2 years of training in cross culture and language learning techniques with New Tribes Mission (NTM). While in Sydney, he met and married his wife Helen.  They have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. 
 

Graeme and Helen served for 19 years in the highlands of Papua New Guinea with NTM establishing local churches in the Sinasina tribe of the Simbu province.  Following that, they served here at OBC for 5 years in the youth ministry and since then have worked in retail and owned their own business. 

Graeme is an enthusiastic 'Magpies' supporter but has a general interest in sport.  He and Helen enjoy meeting new people especially those from different cultures.
