Parenting 

Parenting is one of the most exciting, challenging, exhilarating, refining roles in life, yet it can also be one of the most stressful and painful roles in life.

“Our greatest concern for our children should be that they grow to love God above all else.”

Thankfully, God has laid out Scriptural principles which enable parents to raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. None of us can claim to be perfect parents, but by God's grace we have the ability to help our children live in a way which pleases the Lord.

Charles Spurgeon has reportedly coined the following quote:
“Train up a child in the way he should go – but be sure you go that way yourself.”

At OBC we understand the challenges and priority of parenting and the support and guidance that is required to ensure that parents not only train their children in Godliness but also continue to mature in their Christian Walk themselves.

OBC is committed to assist, offer input and counsel to parents no matter what age their children are. We plan to offer workshops, seminars and other resources to aid our OBC parents. Watch this space.
